This year, in a nod to the popularity and crowd-pleasing design of the Doylestown race, and the city-wide block party feel of the Philadelphia pro race, John Eustice has designed a new racecourse that will provide a superb spectator experience. The 2010 race will be held on a 6-mile long circuit that encompasses Souderton, Telford and Franconia. Finish-line spectators will now see the race two times each lap in a slightly shorter, but much more intense event held on a figure-8 course. The big hill on Wile Avenue in Souderton, now to be climbed more than a dozen times, will allow the establishment of a hospitality area in the Souderton Park. Our new focus on a smaller geographical area is allowing Univest and the race organizers to work much more closely with the Souderton community. As the second oldest professional bicycle race in the United States, Univest remains committed to supporting a quality, international professional bike race to benefit our region. We’re proud to welcome Univest and Sparta Cycling to this luncheon to share with our members the exciting developments for the 2010 race. Don’t miss the opportunity to get a sneak peek! This luncheon is not limited to membership. We invite any businesspersons and guests to attend. Reservations at $18 per person, Chamber members, $25 per person, non-members, may be made by returning the attached coupon, calling or FAXing the Chamber office.
