Great News! Scholarships Available!
State Senator Rob Wonderling (R-24th District) has obtained a DCED Grant for the Community Leadership Institute applicable to the Class of 2010 which begins in September 2009. This will allow us to provide for 24th Senatorial District residents:
- Two full-scholarships for applicants from first-time participating nonprofit organizations
- Two half-scholarships for applicants from first-time participating small businesses

This is a one-time scholarship opportunity that may not be available in future years.

The Community Leadership Institute enhances leadership capabilities of individuals in the greater Indian Valley and North Penn region. Class members develop skills that make them more effective in their own organizations and prepare them to take on volunteer roles in the community. Our program, customized for our unique community, explores a variety of topics including:
- Arts & Culture
- Community Building
- Economic Development
- Education
- Grant Makers, Media & Other Key Stakeholders
- Health Care Delivery
- Human Services
- Judicial & Legislative Systems
- Local Government
- Non-profit & Municipal Roles & Responsibilities
- Servant Leadership
- Transportation
Participants attend one, day-long session per month for ten months. Class members agree to serve for three years on a non-profit or municipal board or committee. Each class carries out a service project that aids the community and reinforces learning.
